A woman’s body goes through a multitude of changes throughout the course of her pregnancy. Shifts in center of gravity, loosening of ligaments, hormonal changes, swelling in the extremities and changes in the biomechanics of normal movement can cause pregnant women a great deal of discomfort. Our doctors are trained to help women not only feel better throughout the course of their pregnancy but also align the pelvis properly to reduce the likelihood of difficulty during labor and delivery.

If you’re injured at work, chiropractic care can treat a variety of injuries in a natural and cost-effective way without the need for surgery, hospital stays or harsh medications. By receiving chiropractic care soon after an injury, you are more likely to return to work faster and with fewer limitations. This is beneficial to both the employee and the employer.

For instance, if you have back pain or neck pain after being involved in a car accident, this could mean you have a spinal or whiplash injury.

If you do not receive proper care, these types of injuries can have a serious, negative impact on your health. They can lead to months, or possibly even years, of chronic pain. The doctors at Lifecity Chiropractic are experienced in treating patients who have been injured in automobile accidents and they stay informed on the best methods for managing whiplash and/or spinal injuries without resorting to medications or surgery.

If you are suffering from an auto accident injury–regardless of whether it was a “fender bender” or a major crash–don’t wait to deal with your pain. Prompt chiropractic care will help support your body’s natural healing process and help you recover faster and potentially avoid a lifetime of chronic pain or other health problems.

Dry Needling

Chronic muscle, tendon and soft tissue injuries can leave us with painful movements that adjustments alone can’t always resolve. Trigger points and myofascial bands in the soft tissue can alter or restrict movements and cause pain. Using acupuncture needles to treat these soft tissue disruptions, based on the musculoskeletal anatomy, is a faster and less painful way of treating these soft tissue issues than using manual therapies alone. This is just another tool we have to help get you back out there to enjoy the activities you love as fast as possible.
Graston Technique® (GT)

Soft tissue injuries can be debilitating and frustrating. Graston Technique® (GT) is a manual therapy that uses instruments to massage and gently scrape the skin and underlying tissue. It is an effective treatment for many soft tissue conditions, this includes chronic, acute and post-surgical injuries. GT therapy can help you improve faster so you can get out and enjoy life again.

Here is list of some of the most common conditions treated with Graston Technique® therapy:

  • Ankle Pain (Achilles Tendinosis/itis)
  • Wrist Pain (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome)
  • Neck Pain (Cervical Sprain/Strain)
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Hamstring Injuries
  • Hip Pain
  • IT Band (Iliotibial Band)
  • Tennis Elbow (Lateral Epicondylosis/itis)

  • Back Pain (Lumbar Sprain/Strain)
  • Golfer’s Elbow (Medial Epicondylosis/itis)
  • Knee Pain (Patellofemoral Disorders)
  • Heel Pain (Plantar Fasciitis)
  • Shoulder Pain (Rotator Cuff Tendinosis/itis)
  • Scar Tissue
  • Trigger Finger
  • Women’s Health (Post-Mastectomy and Caesarean Scarring)

Electrical Stimulation

Electric stimulation therapy is a therapeutic treatment that applies electrical stimulation in treating muscle spasms and pain. It can help prevent atrophy and build strength in patients with injuries.
Soft Tissue Treatment

Chiropractic adjustments alone are effective, but when also addressing the soft tissue, this has a very positive affect on recovery and healing. At Lifecity Chiropractic we address your joints, muscles, nerves and other soft tissues all together for a more lasting outcome. This may include trigger point work, myofascial adhesions, PNF stretching, Active Release Technique and more.
